Open the ZIP, then move Voice Feed.app into your personal Applications folder. Future updates install and relaunch automatically after finishing pending words. Versions before 1.5.1 need one final quit and reopen to activate this behavior.
Optional automatic audio recovery is available in the Mac helper menu. Approve it once in macOS System Settings to allow a system-wide audio restart after repeated missing microphone callbacks, at most once every 30 minutes.
The helper keeps up to 30 minutes of private recovery audio on this Mac. Open it from the helper menu; older files are removed while capture runs.
The helper is installed in your personal Applications folder.

Checking the microphone path…
Each stage uses recent measurements. “Unknown” means that stage has no direct evidence yet. The latest failure remains visible after capture recovers.
Failures remain after capture recovers. Mac 1.4.10 adds microphone and upload measurements to the diagnostic events and crash summaries synced while paired. Measurements require the updated helper to be running. Audio and transcripts are excluded.
Capture history showed no failed or timed-out event between 02:15 and 02:26 UTC. Uploads ran from 02:20:03 to 02:21:33, then paused until 02:23:32 while the microphone remained active. The latest retained failure was a provider transcript revision at 01:37:53 UTC, followed by microphone initialization at 01:37:56 UTC. This does not establish the cause of the later reported omission.
The local gate can omit quiet input that stays below its activation threshold: it retains only the most recent second while uploads are paused. New capture measurements distinguish local suppression, upload delivery and provider progress. That helper retained no audio; levels alone cannot identify speech.
